This May marked an exciting milestone for Harrod Horticultural as we launched our very first pop-up shop in Chelsea in the lead up to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show - and what a great few weeks it was.
Set in the heart of Chelsea on the famous King's Road, the pop-up was a fantastic opportunity to meet customers face to face, share our latest designs and talk gardens. The shop gave visitors a chance to see our Southwold Garden Furniture up close - the classic collection looked right at home in the space and drew plenty of admiring comments.
We also introduced our new Darsham Folding Furniture - a compact yet stylish addition to our range, perfect for patios and smaller garden spaces. These pieces proved popular with shoppers looking for practical, timeless design.
Alongside furniture, we also displayed some of our latest planters and garden arches, giving a taste of what’s new and coming soon. The reaction was brilliant, with lots of useful feedback and interest from long-time customers and new faces alike.
The pop-up shop was brought to life in collaboration with a group of brilliant British makers and artists. We were proud to partner with Weaver Green and Rebecca Udall, whose textiles and tableware added warmth and charm to the space. And a special thank you to artists Zosia Olenska Anderson and Claire Ninham, whose beautiful work brought an extra layer of creativity to the setting.
As the pop-up shop came to a close, we made our way straight to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show - the highlight of the gardening calendar and a true celebration of horticultural excellence. This year’s show was another great success for us, helped along by much better weather than last year, which made for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience for both exhibitors and visitors alike.

Our stand drew strong interest throughout the week, giving us the perfect stage to showcase our signature Southwold Garden Furniture, new Darsham Folding Collection, and a selection of our planters and supports. With so many garden designers, plant enthusiasts, and homeware lovers in one place, it was a brilliant opportunity to talk through our products, share ideas and hear valuable feedback from visitors.
The atmosphere across the showground was full of energy, with inspiring garden displays, beautifully curated planting, and a real sense of creativity in the air. We always feel proud to be part of such a prestigious event, and this year was no exception – it was a joy to represent Harrod Horticultural once again at Chelsea.
All in all, May was one to remember. Thank you to everyone who visited the pop-up shop or stopped by our stand at Chelsea - your feedback and support mean a lot. We’re already thinking ahead to next year!
