How do I get a Trade Catalogue?
To request a Trade Catalogue email firstname.lastname@example.org with all your company details and we will post a Trade catalogue out to you - alternatively why not browse our Online Trade Catalogue.
How do I qualify for trade discount?
If you have never ordered from us before all we need to see is proof of business – such as sight of a business card, email footer, link to website, advert, listing in trade journal etc... - this can be sent to email@example.com. We can then send you all the information you require to order online, over the phone, or to enable you to pay by cheque or bank transfer or to set up a credit account. We will also send you a trade brochure pack – if you require more trade brochures for clients please do let us know.
What is trade?
The trade department is aimed at Garden Designers and Landscapers – however it is also available to any businesses within the garden and landscaping industry – along with schools, community growing schemes, allotment societies, care homes and so on.
Schools should also check out our sister website – www.buddinggardeners.co.uk where they can register for school discount, enter a competition to win £500 of products and find a wealth of information and guidance on school gardening.
What is the trade discount?
We have a two tier trade discount – any of our award winning and RHS endorsed UK designed and manufactured products fall under one discount and the majority of our bought in products fall under another discount. Please note there are some products where we are unable to offer any discounts at all – such as extra value packs (where the products have been bulk packed and are already discounted) or direct despatch items which are large products such as bulk bags of topsoil, greenhouses and so on.
Can I have a written quote for my clients?
Yes – we can supply a written quote with a breakdown of the products and delivery – both including and excluding VAT.
Can you visit me or my clients to help advise on products?
Yes – our trade department covers all of the UK and we are regularly out and about visiting sites and advising on which products are most suitable – contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org or 0333 4001777 to discuss your requirements.
Do you exhibit at any shows?
Yes – not only can you find us at The RHS Chelsea Flower Show, but we attend many regular trade shows around the UK alongside exhibiting at The Society of Garden Designers Spring and Autumn conferences and numerous BALI (British Association of Landscape Industries) events all around the UK. Where can I see any products in use?
We have a number of RHS gardens and sites where are products are in use – see our Show Gardens Page. It is also worth contacting our trade department in case a member of our trade department can meet you and show you the products.
Can my clients pay for the products using the trade discount?
Yes – if you do not want your clients funds for purchases coming though your business and affecting your VAT threshold your clients can order and pay for the products you are specifying and still use the trade discount – simply email us the details of the client and the products and we can liaise with them and keep you informed at every stage of the order process.
I’m looking at having a bespoke structure designed and manufactured – can I still use my trade discount?
Yes – our trade discount is available on made to measure products (where a standard product is made to a bespoke set of dimensions) and also on any bespoke / one off designed structures or products.
Is there a minimum order value?
No – the trade discount is available regardless of order value and order quantity
Can you deliver to my clients address?
Yes – and the VAT receipt follows afterwards to the invoice address
Can I have more than one trade brochure?
Yes – we can send as many as you need, we can also send them direct to your clients on your behalf with a reference note to save you receiving and forwarding them on.
Can I have a credit account?
We can offer trade customers a 30 day (nett) account option – upon receipt and approval of the Credit Application Form. You do not have to open a credit account to take advantage of trade discount.
Can I order online?
Yes – we can give you a code to enter at the checkout on our website to apply the trade discount to your order.
Can I order over the phone?
Yes – call our trade line on 0333 400 1777 to place an order
Can I pay by cheque or bank transfer (BACS) payments?
Yes – email the details of the products, quantities and invoice and delivery addresses to email@example.com and we can send you a pro forma invoice by return – this has our bank details on for bank transfer (BACS) payments and our address details for cheque payments.
Will I get a VAT receipt?
Yes – the VAT receipt always follows through the post after delivery – to the invoice address and not the delivery address.
