Our Extra Heavy Duty Bird Netting is made from extruded black polypropylene to create a rigid plastic net with a 16mm x 16mm square mesh, and is used as side netting on all our manufactured Fruit Cages.
This strong netting is an ideal deterrent to birds, rabbits and other similar pests, but has a large enough mesh to allow invaluable pollinating insects to pass through.

We installed the fruit cage 12 years ago.
The frame is still in great condition with no rust.
The netting has gone brittle after the same time exposed to all weathers up here in the north east.
Ordering replacement netting was simple, done with one telephone call.
They had a copy of my original order and used this to get the details of size etc.
Unfortunately the order did not arrive and was returned to Harrods.
I was immediately contacted by telephone and this was explained to me.
I was asked to nominate a courier for the re-delivery.
Following this the netting and ties to attach the netting to the frame were delivered successfully 48 hours later.
Excellent communications and service from Harrods that obviously have a genuine commitment to its customers.
The new netting is fitted and I'm looking forward to another 12 years of reliable use.

I'm renewing this netting on our fruit cage after 15 years.
The old netting lasted really well and was left up in all weathers.
The only flaw is the mode of attachment to the ground.
Pegs did not prove to be a good answer.
In the end we embedded sleepers in the ground around the cage and trapped the netting under to the lengths of 2x1" timber which we screwed to the sleepers.
