Heard an interesting story on the local news over in here in East Anglia recently, concerning the National Trust-owned Oxburgh Hall near Swaffham in Norfolk.
Emma Hill, a seasonal gardener at the Hall, has been awarded one of only two prizes handed out by the Worshipful Company of Gardeners in recognition of outstanding achievement in the field of horticulture, gardening or floristry.
It transpires that Emma has recently completed her City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ qualification in amenity horticulture at Easton College near Norwich - the same establishment that Harrod Horticultural Kitchen Garden assistant gardener Kate is currently attending!
It certainly seems that East Anglia is a hotbed of gardening talent and it sounds like Oxburgh Hall - and Emma's handywork - is well worth a visit!
