Niwaki Loppers are traditional lopping shears designed to tackle thicker branches around the garden with clean, controlled cutting. Made in Japan with forged S60C carbon steel blades and solid FSC-certified beech handles, these garden loppers are simply designed with strong materials, sharp blades and a smooth cutting action without unnecessary ratchets or bulky mechanisms.
The 80mm blades are suitable for cutting branches up to approximately 25mm in diameter, making them ideal for pruning shrubs, small trees and woody growth. As timber hardness varies between species, the maximum cutting diameter should be treated as a guide rather than a fixed limit.
The wooden handles help absorb impact naturally and give the loppers a solid, balanced feel in use. For larger or tougher branches, cutting at around a 45-degree angle can help the blades work more effectively. If a branch is too large for the blades to cut cleanly, it is better to switch to a pruning saw rather than force the handles.
A vinyl blade sheath is included for safer storage and transport.
