This 2 pronged fork from Holland is absolutely brilliant! It is so easy to use and better for weeding as the prongs are pointed and sharp, and will fit lift the most stubborn weed easily and without disturbing neighbouring plants. I have been looking for one for ages, and finally found this one.A must for a keen gardener, and my son was so impressed with mine that he had to order one too. Many thanks.
When I first saw a friend using one of these I knew that it was the tool I had been wanting for years. Since I bought it there hasn't been a day go by when I haven't used if, either for weeding, moving plants or cultivating the ground, in fact it is rarely out of my hands. Especially beneficial in sneaking between other plants. It is definitely my desert island choice and so much so that I ordered a spare. No doubt all my friends will end up with one for their birthday this year!
In my garden there are many weeds ... I have tried all sorts of tools, but this is really the absolute best; an extension of your hand, almost. Although it may look a little odd, the two pointy prongs get down round the weed without disturbing the plants,, and its length means it's as good for rootling out long tap-roots as it is for flicking up surface weeds. I have had one for about eight years now. It's the tool my husband and I squabble over when we are gardening! Last weekend it went to the tip by accident (MY fault, dammit). Reader, I cried. I am bereft. It will be replaced forthwith after much grovelling. The only reason I have given 4 stars for quality is that my husband managed to bend one of the tines, but he is v. strong and a known tool-destroyer. Buy one. You won't regret it. Just don't leave it in the trug destined for the tip ....
