The leaf rake carries a 5 year guarantee on the stainless steel head, the FSC ash wood 25mm diameter handle gives plenty of leaf raking power and the construction - the handle is laid on a stainless steel core and riveted into place with two brass fixings - is just what you expect from Dutch tool-making masters Sneeboer.

I will try to be objective while writing this review despite my frustration.
The handle snapped after approximately 15 minutes of moderate use - it felt rather thin in the hand and I could feel it flexing as I raked.
Given Sneeboer supposedly make the best garden hand tools, this is extremely disappointing.
The rake it replaced is at least 50 years old and was my dads and his dads before that and has endured years of heavy use and is still on its first handle.
I've given the rake 2 stars because it's well designed overall and it is much lighter than I expected despite being stainless steel but if the handle breaks - it's as good as useless.
For the money, I thought it would be truly exceptional.
Harrod Horticultural have agreed to collect and refund the rake without an quibble whatsoever so, great service from them.
This would be a great rake if the handle was improved significantly but I would not recommend this rake.

Bought this as a replacement for my previous 7 time rake gone missing.
The 20 tine is two wide in some beds for accurate raking Only issue for me is the wooden shaft diameter has been reduced in this latest version and not as good quality/robustness as previously - when supplied the shaft was already warped.
