The Pumpkin & Squash Patch is a collection of 15 organic plants with pumpkins, winter squashes and summer squashes to provide you with colourful and tasty vegetables throughout the summer and autumn months.
These plants will create a superb vegetable patch, requiring approx. 5m2, and will be great additions to many dishes and the pumpkins can be carved for halloween!

- 3 x Butternut Squash - Waltham
- 3 x Winter Squash - Uchiki Kuri
- 3 x Winter Squash - Sweet Dumpling
- 3 x Summer Squash - custard White

Growing Advice
The plants enjoy full sun and plenty of space. Squash and pumpkins are hungry plants so make sure you dig in plenty of organic fertiliser when you plant them.
These plants grow well outside, so if you have the space then go for a raised bed or similar, but they will grow well in pots too, allow 1.5m between plants.
Plant them outside when the risk of frost has passed and the weather has warmed up, until then keep them in pots under cover. Water regularly and thoroughly to encorage the fruits to swell. Keep an eye out for powdery mildew on the leaves.
It is easy to know when to harvest the fruit based on their size. Cut them off with a knife and cut as close as possible to the squash at the stem.
