This has been on my wish list for a while as a more attractive alternative to our previous plastic tub.

The caddy is very stylist but also capacious, non smelling and easy to clean and open/close.

My family of four will fill it in about a week- week and a half, should I leave it that long before emptying.

I agree that the bags provided do not fit the caddy, being too tall and narrow, but I cut the sides of my first bag and openedit out to fit.

I lined the caddy with a bio degradable caddy bag to prevent liquids from rusting or dirtying the caddy too much, then put the paper bag on top of this.

When emptying I can then just lift the whole thing into the bin but leave the plastic one in place for longer.

In future I will probably buy a roll of parcel paper to do the job of the paper bags, or use newspaper etc: cheaper, too.

Great little bin.

Beats plastic bags anyday.

Need a better source of paper bags though.

Our local council have recently introduced the collection of waste food and so I needed to get a compost bin.

The majority are ugly and, as it was going to be on display, I wanted something which was attractive to look at.

I am so pleased with this item as it has a lovely retro look and looks stylish on my worktop - far better than hideous plastic equivalents that most shops sell.

It's easy to clean (I line it with a sheet of newspaper and use a compostable bag) and holds loads.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
