I have used these chips in my water butts and in my 2 water features. They work, and that is about it. How this works I am not completely sure, but they do make a big difference.
I've used these chips in my water butts for several years and they've stayed clean. This year I've tried them in my pond which has a big problem with blanket weed. They made a substantial difference very quickly and are well worth having. There's still some weed but it's not covering the surface as it was before. What I'd love to know is how they work?
What The Press Say
"It's an incredible product! I have had one bag in my small pond for two years and the water remains completely clear."
Stephanie Donaldson Speaks
"Water butts are an excellent way of saving rainwater but they can get smelly. If heavy rain is forecast it is a good idea to take the opportunity to empty your butt out and give it a thorough clean. For continued sweet water Harrod Horticultural sell bags of EM Ceramic chips which will keep water fresh for 10 years. Each bag will treat 250 litres of water."
