Powered by a separate 8.7cm wide by 10cm deep solar panel - just position this energy source in a sunny spot - the string has an initial 3m light-free length to invisibly bridge the gap between solar panel and first light and with up to 6 hours of evening and night lighting from a full charge, the 2.5cm wide stars give a magical feel to any garden.
With no mains wiring or tricky installation required, no operating costs and automatic illumination at dusk, the lights really justifty the 'no maintenance' tag - and for the technical amongst you, the voltage is 3.2V and the lights are supplied with a replaceable and rechargeable AA sized Li-on battery with a 400mAh capacity.
