Heard an interesting story on the local news over in here in East Anglia recently, concerning the National Trust-owned Oxburgh Hall near Swaffham in Norfolk.

Emma Hill, a seasonal gardener at the Hall, has been awarded one of only two prizes handed out by the Worshipful Company of Gardeners http://www.gardenerscompany.org.uk/1.htm in recognition of outstanding achievement in the field of horticulture, gardening or floristry.
It transpires that Emma has recently completed her City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ qualification in amenity horticulture at Easton College http://www.easton-college.ac.uk/ near Norwich - the same establishment that Harrod Horticultural Kitchen Garden assistant gardener Kate is currently attending! http://www.harrodhorticultural.com/HarrodSite/news/Kitchen+Garden/
It certainly seems that East Anglia is a hotbed of gardening talent and you can read more about Emma's achievements here - http://new.edp24.co.uk/content/News/story.aspx?brand=EDPOnline&category=News&tBrand=edponline&tCategory=news&itemid=NOED08%20Mar%202007%2019%3A46%3A35%3A543
