Forcing the issue!

Because of our temperamental UK climate, a greenhouse is essential to successfully raise and grow more exotic and traditional summer crops such as tomatoes, peppers, melons and cucumbers. Larger structures can even accommodate tree fruit such as peaches, apricots, figs and even vines, bring a real taste of the Mediterranean to the garden!

Staple outdoor favourites including carrots, onions, brassicas and beans, can be started earlier in a greenhouse, resulting in a sturdier, stronger plant ready for transplanting when outdoor conditions allow, and forward planning and succession sowing is easier to manage under the safe umbrella of glass.

Some crops – radishes, potatoes, lettuce and carrots to name but a few – can spend their entire life under cover, adding to the level of flexibility one of these structure can bring to the garden.

And there are even more crops which can be grown under glass…?
