Fruit Cage Steel Sloped 3

"As you can see the cage is waiting to have the canes and currant bushes placed and also the roof netting until winter is over. In general your service was excellent and the rather complicated measurements to accommodate the slopes worked out well."

We were contacted with overall cage dimensions and the customer explained that the cage was being positioned on a sloping site with the ground dropping away in 2 directions, front to back and left to right. Site drawings were originally sent through to the customer to confirm we were working to the correct dimensions.

As the site included a slope which meant that the highest point of the cage would be over 2.5m high it was agreed that the cage would only be 1.9m high at its lowest point for stability purposes.

In the design we included fruit cage braces which are essential for any fruit cage on a sloping site as they increase the rigidity and strength of the cage in the corners and along the sides. We also incorporated our Heavy Duty Foot Plates which are particularly useful in the build of a fruit cage on a slope as they ensure each cage upright is fitted to the correct depth. This helps to keep the cage straight and also adds some extra rigidity to the fruit cage.
