Fruit Cage Steel Sloped 1

"Just to let you know that the cage you sent is up and looks brilliant. I am very grateful to you and your excellent colleagues for getting everything spot on."

We were originally contacted with overall cage dimensions and it was explained that the cage was being positioned on a sloping site with the ground dropping away in 2 directions, front to back and left to right. The cage was going to be sited on chalky soils.

It posed quite a challenge to accurately measure the drop in the site, but working very closely with the customer we were able to draw the ground plane enabling us to design and produce a steel fruit cage which would be solid even with the steepness of the slope.

In the design we included fruit cage braces which are essential for any fruit cage on a sloping site as they increase the rgidity and strength of the cage in the corners and along the sides. We also incorporated our Heavy Duty Foot Plates into the design which are particularly useful in the build of a fruit cage on a slope as they ensure each cage upright is fitted to the correct depth. This helps to keep the cage straight and also adds some extra rigidity to the fruit cage.

The design was agreed and then the cage was manufactured and delivered to the customer. Following installation the customer was very pleased with the results...
