If you're a fairly new gardener who'd like to tackle a slightly more ambitious growing project, lack the space and facilites to raise 150+ vegetable plants or maybe just curious to see what dishes you can concoct from home-grown vegetables, then the Organic Small Vegetable and Salad Garden is for you. The 153 plug plants - including traditional favourites such as lettuces, potatoes, carrots and peas - will cover an area measuring 10m² (107ft²), or can be accomodated in three 1.2m x 2.4m (4'x 8') raised beds and 3 potato planters. The wide selection of plants will give an extended growing season (thanks to the brassicas) and there's enough of the summer crops (tomatoes, courgettes and beans) to maintain interest and produce some spectacular salads. Full instructions are provided to guide you through the growing year and all the plug plants (10cm/4" high approx) are supplied ready for planting.
