Maybe Popeye was a slighty unconventional dietician but he certainly knew his stuff as spinach is oe of the most healthy vegetables you can eat - and packets of our Organic Spinach F1 Primo Seeds are the starting point for producing lucious, dark green, oval shaped leaves stuffed full of vitamins A and C. And you won't have to wait long to start your vegetable-based health kick; Organic Spinach F1 Primo Seeds will start producing edible baby leaves after just two weeks, and plants will mature in around 10 to 12 weeks. You can keep spinach on the menu for most of the year as March to July sowings can be harvested right through to late autumn - and use protection in the form of cloches and fleece for seeds sown in November through to early spring. Plants grown from Organic Spinach F1 Primo Seeds are high yielding, slow bolting and show good resistance to strains of downy mildew - you'll find 150 seeds in every packet. • Organic Spinach F1 Primo Seeds supplied in packs of 150 • Certified organic by the Soil Association • Spinach can be sown almost all year round; from mid-winter to early autumn • Late sowings (early autumn) will overwinter for spring harvest • Crop takes between 10-12 weeks to mature during main season • Can be harvested as tender 'baby leaves' or left to grow • Suitable as a 'cut and come again' crop • Sow seed 8cm apart and leave 30cm between rows • Sow in a fertile soil capable of retaining water • Choose a sunny aspect with partial summer shade for best results • Leaves rich in vitamins A and C • Good source of lutein for healthy eyes • High yields • Slow to bolt • Good resistance to downy mildew

This elegant Ornamental Pyramid Cold Frame is ideal for protecting your early and late season crops; will give more exotic summer fruit and vegetables a heat boost and the powder coated aluminium framework will give many years of corrosion-free service. Available in three sizes and specially designed and manufactured in-house to fit our timber raised beds, the frame (supplied with ground pegs) can also placed directly onto the ground.

Not so pleased to see this very attractive addition to the garden will be slugs, snails and birds and the option of introducing optional ultra-fine insect mesh roof panels (4 for the smallest frame and a maximum of 2 for the medium and large) will put paid to aphid raids as well. The twin-walled polycarbonate side glazing panels pose no threat to children and pets, keep plants well insulated and form an effective barrier to hail and frost. Triangular roof panels are easily removed from the Ornamental Pyramid Cold Frame for hassle-free access and ventilation.
