Growing Tips
Sow the fine seeds under cover in March and be sure to cover the seeds very lightly with compost. Cover the seed tray or pots with glass, plastic or polythene and place out of direct sunlight; uncover once the shoots appear and only transplant outside after the last threat of frost has passed. Plant out in a sunny spot but you'll have to be patient during the first year, as only a handful of leaves should be harvested, giving the plant time to establish. Get picking in June and July of the second year onwards for the best taste infusion, and harvest lightly again throughout the winter.
