The Tropic Electric Fan Heater is a rigid plastic cased electric fan heater that is sufficient to heat a greenhouse measuring up to 2 1/2m x 3m (8' x 10') - the heater has two thermostats for summer and winter use and two settings of 1kW and 2kW.
• The internal fan helps to circulate the warm air quickly and efficiently around the greenhouse. • The fan can also be used without the heating element to circulate air and cool the greenhouse in the summer. • The unit measures 30cm H x 22cm W x 13cm D and has a 129cm long lead. • The thermostat can be set on frost watch setting to keep your greenhouse frost free.
If you’re considering making the most of the greenhouse this winter – and why not? – then insulation is a must. Cover the inside of your greenhouse and save money on heating with our 1.5m (5') wide tri-laminated UV stabilised bubble insulating film. Bubble insulation will help to keep an unheated greenhouse frost free and will greatly reduce fuel consumption in heated greenhouses, saving approximately 30% on heating costs!
• Tri laminated and UV stabilised • The diameter of the bubbles is 8mm • Available by the linear metre or see Extra Value 10 metre roll and save £2.00!

"Insulate your greenhouse to keep plants snug over winter. Use special greenhouse bubble wrapping, cut into pieces and held in place with plastic clips that fit into the grooves between glazing bars." Daily Mail Online, Jobs To Do In Your Garden This Week, 5th November 2008
"Delicate plants often need help through the winters coldest spells. The popularity of tender exotics such as bananas means bubble wrap can sell out as temperatures drop." Emma Townshend, The Independent Online – 26/10/09
We've found these Bayliss Automatic Greenhouse Vent Openers to be the best on the market and are suitable vents for both wooden or aluminum windows and frames. With the two of the most important aspects of successful greenhouse growing being adequate ventilation and preventing excessive temperatures we are sure you will find these Autovents invaluable. Please note that although the XL Autovent will fit the vast majority of greenhouses, some models of Halls and Robinsons may require additional fixings. We also recommend the Bayliss MK7 Autovent for use on any Alton structure.
This unit can be simply clamped onto aluminium greenhouses without any drilling, or bolted on using existing holes or drilled holes • The unit is 28cm long and will lift a vent weighing up to 5.5kg, or a vent approximately 61cm x 76cm (24" x 30") • Opens approx 30cm • Supplier offers 2 year guarantee on replacement cylinders but they should last approximately 6-10 years • Additional fixings may be required for fitting to some Halls and Robinsons models

"If you haven't already got automatic openers installed for your greenhouse windows, fit some straight away. Automatic openers work by wax within their cylinder expanding when it's hot, pushing a piston to open the window and contracting in cooler temperatures to close the window again. Worth the investment to free yourself from being controlled by the vagaries of British weather - no more trips to the greenhouse to open and close windows manually every time the weather changes!"
