This traditional Sneeboer lawn edger has a solid ash handle, a large grip making it very comfortable to use, a sharp stainless blade which cuts through turf with ease - and will make an impressive addition to any lawn-loving gardener's shed.

Verdict:
The wide-topped handle of this edger really made me stand up straight and insert the blade downwards rather than at an angle. The blade is also very wide so lawns with straight edges can be very quickly edged... Not the lightest of tools, although it feels like it would last a lifetime, which would justify the price…

A half-moon cutter is a very handy tool for those who like to cut beds out of lawn or keep existing lawn edges defined. This model is beautifully crafted: its broad head holds a large boot and it cuts long runs at a decent speed. The sturdy ash shaft and handle makes the cutting action easy.

This model has a nice broad head, which will accommodate large boots and cut long, straight runs at a decent speed. The sturdy shaft is made from ash, as is the wide handle, which makes the cutting action easy and comfortable. All in all, it's a thoroughly well-designed tool:

Cons: Hard to fault, other than the rather frightening price.
Overall: A pleasure to use; view it as an investment purchase
