Lawn mowing made easy...
Dear
Martin...
I have your catalogue and am considering your G-tech mower as I only have a tiny lawn. I DO NOT want to have to hold down the operational switch whilst I am mowing. I want to turn it on and use it until I want to turn it off. Is this how it works? You charge it up; unplug; set it on the lawn; turn it on; proceed to go up and down the lawn; and when the box is full you turn it off. I have thrown out two mowers within the last year because you have to hold them down, they clog up fast and the lovely lawn cutting experience ends in tears. Not to mention sore hands and elbows. Your help will be appreciated. Sandra Martin

Dear Sandra Many thanks for your recent enquiry regarding the G-Tech Cylinder Lawnmower. I can confirm that this product does require you to grip a purple coloured handle when the unit is cutting (you may be able to see this in the top left hand corner of the image in the catalogue and on the website). This handle is an essential safety feature and I suspect you will find something similar on all pieces of powered garden machinery in this day and age. If you let the grip go, the blades will immediately stop cutting and as you can imagine, a mower without this important safety handle could potentially run unattended across a garden. Although I haven’t had a chance to operate the mower yet, I would imagine that cutting the grass when conditions are favourable (ie. completely dry) would be a pleasurable experience. I know that the first cut of each year can be problematical (mainly due to the length and lushness of the grass and the damp condition of the soil underneath) but I’ve found that a quick but firm brush with a spring tined rake, or similar implement, prior to cutting helps disperse worm casts, bumps and other debris, along with ‘loosening up’ the grass itself. Good luck with your lawn mowing this season! Martin
