Smart Valve® Watering Kit
Smart Valve® Watering Kit
£13.95
The gravity fed Smart Valve® Watering Kit requires no power source yet still manages to deliver an unerringly accurate flow of water to plant or water holding capillary matting-lined greenhouse trays.

The adjustable depth regulator of the valve sits in your plant tray and is fitted with a moisture sensor to monitor water levels and once the sensor realises more water is required, it does the rest. Speed Feed™ for Growbags
Speed Feed™ for Growbags
£6.95
The Speed Feed™ for Growbags is both simple and stunningly effective in solving an age old gardening problem - how to efficiently water growbag plants such as tomatoes, aubergines, peppers and many more.

This growbag watering system is exceptionally simple to insert into your growbag and watering is even easier - just pour liquid into the 9cm high by 11cm diameter dark green watering port and water will be sent running along the 75cm long pipe and out through the series of holes in each side! A tiny slit in the growbag is all that's required to accept the 2cm diameter watering pipe and as the irrigating takes place under the plastic cover of the growbag, you can say goodbye to messy spillages and evaporation! The Speed Feed™ is capable of delivering up to a gallon of water in seconds; it's perfect for use with liquid feed as well as water and because the Speed Feed™ is doing all the irrigating, only a small planting hole (or three) is required for the growbag plants so the soil inside the plastic retains moisture, temperature and humidity - you'll see how grateful your plants are! This growbag watering kit can be used year after year and is easily dismantled for easy storage during those barren, growbag-free months.

Capillary Matting
Capillary Matting
from £3.00
Use capillary matting in the greenhouse (our greenhouse staging is ideal) to water plants economically and (almost) automatically, as this versatile material absorbs and holds water which can be drawn up by soil in pot plants positioned on the matting.

This process is known as capillary watering and keeping the capillary matting moist will allow your plants to fend for themselves in the heigt of summer. We've two widths of capillary matting available; the 61cm (24") version fits sungly on our corresponding size of greenhouse staging and the 50cm (20") wide version is popular for smaller greenhouse watering set-ups. The capillary matting is easy to cut with scissors or a knife, is sold in metre lengths and can be used with the dark or light side uppermost. The white surface will reflect light and heat in the summer months to help ripen fruit and the darker surface - which varies between dark green, grey and black - attracts and retains heat during cooler periods. For complete peace of holiday watering mind, try our Self Watering Trays which come complete with capillary matting; and with the largest boasting a 30 litre reservoir, your plants won't go thirsty!
