Organic Heron Plum Trees |

Herons aren't usually welcome visitors to the garden - especially if you have a well stocked fish pond - but the Organic Heron Plum Trees will prove a popular addition to your orchard or garden fruit growing area.
Bred on the famous Rivers Nursery in Hertfordshire, Heron plum trees produce large, long oval shaped fruit ready for harvesting in August; cropping is reliable and as Heron falls into pollination group B, you'll need a variety from groups A, B or C to ensure these August harvested plums are in plentiful supply.
Organic Heron plum trees are raised on moderately vigorous St Julien A rootstocks and the fruit is purple skinned with a greenish yellow flesh.

Organic Early Prolific Plum Tree |

Get your plum picking season off to a flying start with Organic Early Prolific Plum Trees; just like their name suggests, they're heavy croppers and you could be harvesting your first fruits as early as July.
And although you'll have to wait until Early Prolific plums are ripe before tucking into them, you can certainly get to work in the kitchen making plum sauces and jam. The price you have to pay for this early plum crop is poor storage quality - all the more reason to enjoy them immediately!
The all important Early Prolific plums are oval in shape, have dark blue skin and a golden yellow flesh and as the organic Early Prolific plum trees are supplied on moderately vigorous St Julien A rootstocks, picking isn't gloing to be a problem! As Early Prolific isn't a self fertile variety, you will need to introduce a pollinating tree from groups C or E (Early Prolific falls into pollination group D) to ensure your tree is brimming with those early season plums!

Organic Blue Tit Plum Tree |

Just as welcome in the garden as the bird of the same name, Organic Blue Tit Plum Trees produce medium sized, dense blue plums which are suitable for cooking and eating.
Grown on a St Julien A rootstock, the moderately vigorous blue tit plum trees are likely to reach a size between 3.6 and 5.5m metres, a far cry from the easy to care for and plant maidens they are supplied as. Blue tit plums are juicy and well flavoured, the yellow flesh contrasts well with the blue skin and crops - expect to harvest in mid-August - are heavy and reliable. A great variety for the garden, organic blue tit trees are self fertile and although you only need one, you'll probably want more!

Organic Merryweather Damson Tree |

Our Organic Merryweather Damson Tree bridges the small gap between damsons and plums as this popular variety is in fact a cross between a Damson and a plum, typically displayed by its round oval blue to black fruits.
Organic Merryweather Damson Trees are supplied on St Julien A rootstocks and the maiden supplied trees develop into moderately vigorous, 4 to 5.5m high specimens; you can expect to harvest the green/yellow fleshed, sweet fruits the young trees produce in September. Merryweather is a damson variety which doesn't store well so you can enjoy eating the fruits immediately after picking or turn them into jams, jellies, chutneys, wine and Damson Gin.
Plant your Organic Merryweather Damson Tree in full sun - they are tolerant of most soil types provided they are well drained - prune between April and September (as with all stone fruit) and enjoy a harvest year after year!

Organic Czar Plum Trees got their distinctive name thanks to a visit by Russian Tsar Alexander II, who had visited England in May of 1874 while the first crop was beginning to grow - and ever since, plum growers both commercial and amateur have raved about the jam and preserve making qualities of this very popular early culinary plum variety.
Grown on the moderately vigorous St Julien A rootstock, our Organic Czar Plum Trees are supplied as maidens which makes training them as spectacular fan trees along a warm, south facing wall an easy job. Czar plum trees will also flourish in bush tree form too and produce heavy crops of the renowned dark purple skinned fruits - which can be eaten straight from the tree when ripe as well as making it into the kitchen - which are ready to pick in late July and August. The Czar plum variety also has some frost resistance and is self fertile, adding to the attraction!

Marjories Seedling is a name you probably recognise even if you know nothing about plums and this exceptionally popular culinary plum variety is the late harvesting choice of the UK's commercial plum growers - and with one of our Organic Marjories Seedling Plum Trees growing happily in your back garden, you too could enjoy the sweet, yellow fleshed fruits of this heavy cropper.
Our Organic Marjories Seedling plum trees are grown on St Julien A rootstocks and are moderately vigorous in habit, making them ideal for growing as a bush tree or fan training along a sunny wall or fence - and as the plum trees are supplied as maidens, initial pruning and training is a simple task. Expect to harvest Majories Seedling plums from mid September and being so late flowering and ripening, they're ideal for growing in cooler or frost affected areas. The plums are deep purple in colour with a distinctive blue sheen and can be eaten if left to ripen as well as used for cooking.
