Onion and Leek Seeds - our organic onion and leek seeds have been specially selected to give you a wide variety of produce - from tender spring onions to hardy winter leeks - and every chance of a successful harvest of these versatile and traditional mainstays of the vegetable patch, allotment and kitchen garden. You'll find red, white and spring onions along with baby and full sized leeks in our selection, giving you the opportunity to produce alliums which add real interest to your salads and soups.

What's more, all of our onion and leek seeds have attained Soil Association organic status and are of the highest quality, and we've got almost all you'll need to care for your crops - including a specialist onion hoe, fertiliser and onion nets for storage - so all you need to do is prepare the fertile and well-drained soil in which they flourish in and watch the plants race away! There's even a seed sowing and growing guide on every product page to help you produce enough home-grown leeks and onions to last all summer, winter and spring!

The 25 Leek F1 Kenton seeds contained in each packet will grow up to produce an excellent winter hybrid variety, with attractive, deep blue-green colour to the leaves.

These organic leek seeds - certified by the Soil Association - can be sown indoors (try our Growtubes for the ultimate in biodegradable transplanting) between February and March and directly outside from April to May, giving you a nice long November to March winter harvest period. Leave the Kenton F1 leeks - which have an erect habit and medium length shafts - to stand in the soil until they are required.

These packets of Bio Seedling Stimulator will help vulnerable flower and plant seedlings through the most difficult stage of their growth just by adding the granular Atlantic seaweed extract to water!

Greenhouse seedling fatality rates should plummet when one of the 6 x 15g water soluble Bio Seedling Stimulator packets is added to 7-10 litres of water and simply watered onto the seedlings with a fine rose. Each pack will treat up to 100 sqm giving you complete protection throughout the entire greenhouse or seed bed sowing season as the seedlings enjoy the natural growth stimulators contained in the seaweed extract. The Bio Seedling Stimulator contains a mix of N (0.7%), P (0.10%) and K (9.7%) which helps young seedlings toughen up quickly and grown on to produce healthy blooms, foliage and fruit in the garden.

A crisp and very tasty addition to salads, Ramrod onions can be cropped in spring (after overwintering), late summer and autumn and have the distinctive, Lisbon-type, long white stems and green tops. Tender and mild to taste when young, the bulbs can left to swell and develop a much stronger flavour if desired.
