Plant Halos |
from £9.95
Sent like an angel to help tomato, pepper and growbag plant growers all over the country, the 29cm diameter Plant Halos encourage two sets of roots to develop - and that often means double the yield of fruit from your plants.
Incredibly simple yet stunningly effective, each halo (available in red or green and supplied in packs of 3) is pushed into a planting hole cut in the plastic skin of a grow bag and has features a watering moat around the outside of the central planting hole; just top this outer ring up with water, apply liquid feed to the centre hole and the two sets of roots which develop - water and feed searching - will do the rest! Six hollow plastic spikes reach down into the grow bag soil and send the 3 litres of water the moat can hold right where it's required, taking 3-5 hours to empty the reservoir. No more flooding your growbag and washing out soil; these heaven-sent halos will tidy your grow bag growing operation right up and with colour coded cane tops also available to hold your plant supporting bamboo canes (not supplied) firmly in position, your greenhouse, patio, decking, roof terrace or decking will never have looked so good.

Smart Valve® Watering Kit |
£13.95
The gravity fed Smart Valve® Watering Kit requires no power source yet still manages to deliver an unerringly accurate flow of water to plant or water holding capillary matting-lined greenhouse trays.
The adjustable depth regulator of the valve sits in your plant tray and is fitted with a moisture sensor to monitor water levels and once the sensor realises more water is required, it does the rest. All you need to do is provide a water reservoir - this can be as simple as a bucket or sophisticated as a water butt - position it 20cm above the height of the tray you wish to fill and install the kit.
The simple Smart Valve® watering kit consists of the smart valve with water inlet tubing, an outlet fitting and hole forming tool to enable you to connect up to that bucket or water butt and 1.25m of 4mm diameter tubing. Set-up takes minutes, the depth regulator will keep the water level between 7mm and 20mm and working with a 5 litre water reservoir feeding a 1m² tray, your plants will stay watered for up to 4 weeks - an ideal holiday watering accomplice!
And here's the technical horticultural bit - using the Smart Valve® system, plants can never be overwatered and the healthy, natural 'wet and dry' cycle the valve delivers ensures maximum root growth and water uptake. Watering - especially when on holiday - has never been so simple! |

24 Cell Self Watering Seed Success Kit |
£6.45
Quality seed trays are the mainstay of any greenhouse and garden and when they're as durable as the trays included in the 24 Cell Self Watering Seed Success Kit, and are complimented by a clear propagation cover, layer of capillary matting, inner platform and 10 day water reservoir, then it becomes clear how the seed sowing success kit got its name.
The injection moulded, 24 cell seed tray is where the action's at and will last for years - you can even sterilise them in a dishwasher - whilst the clear lid will create the perfect conditions for seed germination. Over - or a lack of - watering is one of the major causes of seedling fatalities but with a section of capillary matting on board and drawing water from the base reservoir, your seedlings and young plants will find conditions underfoot just to their liking.
And when you consider all moulding components in the 24 cell self watering seed success kit are guaranteed for 10 years and (with the exception of the capillary matting and clear cover) are made from 100% recycled plastic, it's clear this seed sowing and watering kit is a success in every way. |

Speed Feed™ for Growbags |
£6.95
The Speed Feed™ for Growbags is both simple and stunningly effective in solving an age old gardening problem - how to efficiently water growbag plants such as tomatoes, aubergines, peppers and many more.
This growbag watering system is exceptionally simple to insert into your growbag and watering is even easier - just pour liquid into the 9cm high by 11cm diameter dark green watering port and water will be sent running along the 75cm long pipe and out through the series of holes in each side! A tiny slit in the growbag is all that's required to accept the 2cm diameter watering pipe and as the irrigating takes place under the plastic cover of the growbag, you can say goodbye to messy spillages and evaporation! The Speed Feed™ is capable of delivering up to a gallon of water in seconds; it's perfect for use with liquid feed as well as water and because the Speed Feed™ is doing all the irrigating, only a small planting hole (or three) is required for the growbag plants so the soil inside the plastic retains moisture, temperature and humidity - you'll see how grateful your plants are! This growbag watering kit can be used year after year and is easily dismantled for easy storage during those barren, growbag-free months. |

Super Sprayer |

Capillary Matting |
from £3.00
Use capillary matting in the greenhouse (our greenhouse staging is ideal) to water plants economically and (almost) automatically, as this versatile material absorbs and holds water which can be drawn up by soil in pot plants positioned on the matting. This process is known as capillary watering and keeping the capillary matting moist will allow your plants to fend for themselves in the heigt of summer. We've two widths of capillary matting available; the 61cm (24") version fits sungly on our corresponding size of greenhouse staging and the 50cm (20") wide version is popular for smaller greenhouse watering set-ups. The capillary matting is easy to cut with scissors or a knife, is sold in metre lengths and can be used with the dark or light side uppermost. The white surface will reflect light and heat in the summer months to help ripen fruit and the darker surface - which varies between dark green, grey and black - attracts and retains heat during cooler periods. For complete peace of holiday watering mind, try our Self Watering Trays which come complete with capillary matting; and with the largest boasting a 30 litre reservoir, your plants won't go thirsty! |
