Fruit Trees
Fruit Trees - fresh fruit hanging ripe and ready for picking is a timeless scene and we're of the opinion that no garden is really complete without a supply of home-grown, freshly picked apples, pears, plums, cherries, quince and damsons.

Just imagine for a moment the mouth watering crunch you get when biting into a unfeasibly juicy Sunset or Lord Lambourne apple; a home-cooked pie busting with fluffy Bramleys which puts Mr Kipling to shame; pears such as Louise Bonne of Jersey which simply melt in your mouth and the sharp, refreshing taste of stone fruits including plums and cherries. Unfortunately the list isn't endless as there are only so many delicious fruit varieties we can supply; and we're delighted to have teamed up with an authentic, organic, specialist tree fruit nursery located in the heart of England's cider country - Worcestershire - who sustainably grow and provide all the wonderful, evocative Soil Association certified and DEFRA-inspected stock we have on offer.

And don't worry if you think you haven't got enough space in your garden for a fruit tree or two; we've got easily manageable moderately growing and semi-dwarfing versions of the varieties in our range; when to plant and plenty of other cultural information is included with your order and as the trees arrive as 'maidens', you've got every opportunity to shape and train them exactly how you'd like. We'll also help to guide you through the questions raised by pollination; you'll find details of when to pick the varieties which catch your eye and tickle your taste buds and we'll even give you an idea of how long - and well - different types will store.

So whether it's cooking, eating or even drinking the fruit which takes your fancy, you've come to exactly the right place to choose the fruit tree that's right for you and your garden - we're confident that after viewing our mouth watering range, we'll be the apple of your eye...!

Apple Trees - cooking apples, dessert apples and even cider apple trees - if it's a wide range of apple tree varieties which are traditional, inspiring and completely organically raised under Soil Association/DEFRA approved conditions you're after, look no further! Our selection of culinary and dessert varieties will allow you to experiment in the kitchen, enjoy the unrivalled taste of biting into a perfect, straight from the tree fruit or even go for something a bit stronger and brew your own cider.

The vast majority of the apple varieties we offer are available on both semi-dwarfing and moderate rootstocks (M26 and MM106 respectively) making the tree size ideal for the garden and as your trees (don't forget you'll need at least two for pollination!) are supplied as 'maidens', giving you the chance to sculpt and train them as cordons or espaliers. We've taken away all the stress of what to do with your tree once it's been delivered too as tucked away in the box will be a guide to siting, planting, training and pruning your chosen varieties. Not only that - we've provided a handy little guide (example below) on each product page to help you with when to prune and harvest, how well the fruit stores, which pollination band the variety falls into and anything else we think might help. In fact, probably the only things we can't help with are digging the hole for planting and eating (and drinking) the fruit!

Cherry Trees - keeping birds off ripe cherries has been a challenge for gardeners for years - have you tried netting a full-sized cherry tree? - but that task has just got a lot easier with our dwarfing cherry tree varieties; both Stella and the wonderfully named Sunburst are grown on the dwarfing Gisela 5 rootstock and won't get much taller than 2.5m (8"), making the task of netting and picking that much easier! Bad news for the birds but good news for you as you get to 'cherry-pick' the best of the black juicy Sunburst cherries or stunningly scarlet Stella!

Perfect for growing as bush trees or training into a delightful fan, both our cherry tree varieties insist upon a sheltered, non-frosty site and being self fertile will happily get on with producing bucket loads of fruit alone. Raised organically to Soil Association standards, your cherry trees will be accompanied by siting, planting and training advice and we've also provided on-screen information on when to prune, harvest and plenty of other invaluable tips (example below). And once your cherries are established, if any make it back to the kitchen from the garden - they're so easy to eat en route! - you'll be able to concoct all sorts of home-made sweets and desserts!
