The additional units are available in 2.5m and 3m square sizes and are supplied with linking plates, the same high quality steel framework as the main units, roof and side netting and a decorative Pineapple or Sphere finial but do not include a door kit. Our Heavy Duty Steel Cherry Tree Cage stands a whopping 3m in height and gives grow your own fruit enthusiasts the chance to produce cherry crops and actually get to eat them! The cage has a 2m square footprint is manufactured from galvanised steel and powder coated matt black to finish. A door is not provided but walk-in access is simple as the high specification netting can be lifted up or even cut and tied back into place. It sounds like a cliché but this cage really was introduced to our range by popular demand!

The new improved fruit cage door kit has a steel supporting brace for extra stability, is made from 25mm (1") square galvanised painted steel as our heavy duty steel fruit cages and is supplied with one foot plate for added stability.

These Steel Fruit Cage Braces give our steel cages extra rigidity when exposed to high winds or softer soil. Two types are available; corner braces and mid-braces - and both require fitting as the cage is being erected. The braces can be used on any of our steel fruit cage designs - standard, peaked or domed.

A steel, zinc plated foot plate for the door hinging upright is supplied as standard with steel fruit cages but is not included with the door kit for aluminium fruit cages, this foot plate ensures the hinging upright maintains position in softer soil conditions. Extra foot plates for all uprights can be supplied at an additional cost.

Make installation of your Steel Fruit Cage even easier - especially in particularly hard or stony soil - with our Steel Ground Sockets and Driving Cap. Just hammer the sockets into the ground - protected by the cap - and insert the cage upright, which will be held firmly in position.
