| Cherry Trees |
 |
Cherry Trees - keeping birds off ripe cherries has been a challenge for gardeners for years - have you tried netting a full-sized cherry tree? - but that task has just got a lot easier with our dwarfing cherry tree varieties; both Stella and the wonderfully named Sunburst are grown on the dwarfing Gisela 5 rootstock and won't get much taller than 2.5m (8"), making the task of netting and picking that much easier! Bad news for the birds but good news for you as you get to 'cherry-pick' the best of the black juicy Sunburst cherries or stunningly scarlet Stella!
Perfect for growing as bush trees or training into a delightful fan, both our cherry tree varieties insist upon a sheltered, non-frosty site and being self fertile will happily get on with producing bucket loads of fruit alone. Raised organically to Soil Association standards, your cherry trees will be accompanied by siting, planting and training advice and we've also provided on-screen information on when to prune, harvest and plenty of other invaluable tips (example below). And once your cherries are established, if any make it back to the kitchen from the garden - they're so easy to eat en route! - you'll be able to concoct all sorts of home-made sweets and desserts! Organic Cherry Trees are despatched in bare-root form between November and March. |
