The good news continues as Sunburst is a cherry variety capable of flourishing across most of the UK but as with most cherry trees, it will reward you if planted in a sunny aspect. Supplied as a bare rooted maiden tree, our Sunburst cherry trees are grown on Gisela 5 semi dwarfing rootstocks and make an excellent fan trained cherry or an equally productive - and manageable - bush tree. The cresylic acid based liquid compound is easy to apply and can be used on all tree pruning cuts and open wounds, but if applying in the summer months take care to avoid contact with buds or fruit.
