Product Reviews
Ideal container for growing toms or runner beans, arrived fast, very good supplier of garden items.
I am quite pleased with my planters. I use them for growing tomatoes just now, but plan to grow a variety of beans in the near future. We live in a flat and have to grow vegetables indoors. The patio planter is an excellent solution for this type of growing. In fact, if I ever get a nice green house, I plan to use them extensively for growing a wide range of vine/warm weather crops. I would highly recommend this product along with the bamboo poles and the plastic trays as an excellent setup for indoor or patio gardening. My only concern, however, is that the picture in the catalog shows a pole connecter for the top which brings the poles together. The picture gives the impression that the top connector comes with the planter. It should be made clear in the detailed description that this is not the case!as you do concerning the bamboo poles.
These rectangular (not square as might be assumed from the photo) planters do a good job, but perhaps are a little pricey. They are made from fairly heavy duty flexible plastic. They hold a good 50+ litres of compost, allowing for good root growth and stability The pockets for canes are very useful. The colour is a pleasant sea-green. I'm not entirely confident how many seasons these will last for, hence my comment on the price. If they do prove to last for a good few years, then fair enough - if they're a one-season wonder, then I probably wouldn't buy again.
